The NSTU is the sole bargaining agent for all teachers employed in the public schools of Nova Scotia. The NSTU negotiates regional agreements with school boards and the Teachers' Provincial Agreement with the Minister of Education. The NSTU is also the bargaining agent for faculty and professional support staff of the Nova Scotia Community College and teachers with the Atlantic Provinces Special Education Authority (APSEA).
